Description
Magnox Ltd are responsible for the safe and secure clean-up of twelve nuclear sites and operation of one hydro-electric plant, managing sites through their lifecycles, overseeing all aspects of operation, defuelling and decommissioning. Their mission is to safely and securely deliver the twelve sites to closure safely, securely and predictably, with due regard for the environment; to the satisfaction of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority; and in the long-term interests of the organisation, the employees, the local communities and their supply chain partners. Magnox are helping to secure Britain’s nuclear legacy into an environmental one for future generations.
We are now seeking a new Head of Programmes, reporting into our Future Mission Director. This is a new role and is accountable for the successful integration of agreed future missions into the Magnox business. Working closely with the Director of Strategy and Development, the successful candidate will develop a programme of work, build key stakeholder relationships and be accountable for delivering the programme of work safely and to quality, time and cost.
You will bring a demonstrable track record of successful leadership gained from within the nuclear or energy sectors and experience of leading strategic, business integration and change programmes. and evolving strategy. Working closely with stakeholders, including government and industry, you will need significant experience of delivering complex programmes in a regulated environment. Knowledge of the appropriate governance arrangements for complex business integration programmes is essential. Experienced leading and directing teams across multi-site locations, you will work in a collaborative manner, building effective relationships with board colleagues, the executive team, and across the organisation with an open and personable style.
